Over the past 10 years I have worked in and around social media and digital content. As the discipline has grown and evolved so have the roles that I have taken. My passion is helping brands create meaningful communities often by creating content or experiences that resonate with people. I'm part planner, part creative and part account man.
The different organisations that I have worked for have given me a well-rounded experience in working with varying degrees of support and resource. As such I am as happy working in an agency environment as I am working for a start-up.

As a very traditional above the line ad agency, RKCR,Y&R brought me in as part of their push to develop their digital / social credentials. My main responsibility is overseeing social content for Vodafone.

Working on Love Gold, a new initiative from the World Gold Council, I was responsible for managing all social activity. This included:
-Developing and planning yearly, monthly and weekly content calendars.
-Working with the WGC PR team to develop a crisis comms plan.
-Monitoring and responding to all community engagement.
-Directing the analytics team on monthly and weekly reports.
-Developing a global editorial and content workflow.
Social Strategist - Albion

At Albion I sat between the Planning department and Creative department as the sole Social Strategist. Working on pitches and existing clients including:
-Jose Cuervo Especial: Developing a global content strategy. Overseeing multi-territory campaigns and managing 3rd party community managers.
-Jose Cuervo Traditional: Developing a social strategy based around real world events. Defining partners, influencers and outreach.
-Quotemehappy.com: This was a brand that Albion created with Avi va. I was involved from the start and developed all social and content strategy including tone of voice, internal social engagement strategy and crisis plans.
-Wonga: Developed tone of voice and character back stories for social media.
I also provided support on Air New Zealand, giffgaff, Skype, Anthony Nolan, Just Giving and worked with senior management to develop the internal communication strategy.
Community Manager / Strategist - Taptu

When I worked at Taptu it was a mobile search and discovery engine for touch screen phones with an app for iOS and Android. My role included:
-Developing strategy to engage ‘super users’ and build community.
-Managing external PR agency and remote community manager.
-Leading blogger and key influencer outreach.
-Advising on product and feature development.

At We Are Social I was brought in to help kick start a project for whisky brand Macallan and involved:
-Mapping the digital whisky sector and identifying key influencers, bloggers and community members.
-Studying the habits, hierarchy and dynamics of the online whisky community.
-Advising on best practice and terms of engagement for a proposed strategy based on the research.

At Iris Digital I worked on a video project for Sony Ericsson and the role included:
-Researching social networks and identifying, key influencers, groups and moderators.
-Engaging influencers to seed video and image content.
